1st LOG'S innovation challenge

On Wednesday June 26, the first round of the 1st Log's Innovation Challenge took place at the Group's headquarters in Lesquin. The aim of this internal competition, in which around half of the Group's logistics sites took part, is to challenge the teams at the various sites on the logistics of the future, and also to consult and involve them in the Group's future strategic choices.

"Our innovation approach contributes to supporting our customers in the logistics of tomorrow. It will have to respond to a number of societal challenges, such as respect for the environment and the continuous improvement of our teams' working conditions, but it will also have to improve our productivity and competitiveness. At Log's, this innovation approach is embodied by a dedicated department, by partnerships with major research players, such as CEA Tech at EURATECHNOLOGIES, but above all by Log's teams working at the heart of operations, directly with our customers."

Franck Grimonprez, Founder and CEO of Log's

Over the past 3 years, Log'S, an independent group specializing in customized logistics services for all business sectors, has set up a specific innovation department with a dedicated team and resources.

What's more, the Log'S Group and its Founder and CEO, Franck Grimonprez, believe in the importance of reflection by operational staff. That's why the company decided to create an internal challenge on the theme of innovation, the1st edition of which took place this year.

The aim of this challenge is to involve employees in the Group's strategic thinking, by enabling them to propose concrete actions to develop the company's know-how and help it respond to societal challenges.

The various teams taking part in the challenge had to present an innovative project based on Log'S know-how to a panel of judges, addressing a number of issues: ecology, improving working conditions for teams and their daily lives, and improving productivity.

For this1st round, which took place on June 26, each participating team had to pitch its project in 5 minutes and answer questions from the Jury.

The second and final round will take place on September 16, 2019, before an enlarged jury comprising a member of each Log's department, as well as the Site Managers.

To date, five projects have been shortlisted. The winning project of this1st Log'S Innovation Challenge will be implemented on the participating team's site, but also within the network of Log's 28 logistics sites if the proposal is duplicable.

Congratulations to all participants!
