On Monday February 28, Log'S inaugurated its new logistics campus in Wattrelos, as part of its AMBITION 2022 development plan announced in 2019.

On Monday February 28, Franck Grimonprez, Founder and Chairman of the Log'S Group, accompanied by Dominique BAERT - Mayor of Wattrelos, Bernard HAESEBROECK - Vice-President of Employment, Research and Education for the Lille European Metropolis, Catherine OSSON - Member of Parliament for the 8th district of Nord, inaugurated Log'S' brand new logistics campus in Wattrelos, as part of the AMBITION 2022 development plan announced by Log'S in 2019.

This campus represents an investment of 85 million euros for the company. It will create 400 jobs, 200 of which are already in place. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Belgian border and the A22 freeway, it is a perfect illustration of Log'S commitment to constructing state-of-the-art, connected buildings that can be adapted to users' needs for automation, digitalization and flow management. Indeed, at Wattrelos, none of the cells has the same slab characteristics to enable the best use of mechanization, and has been designed to respond perfectly to the challenges of our retail & e-merchant customers. The campus also reflects Log'S commitment to building more sustainable facilities, with 5 hectares of land (out of a total of 35 hectares) dedicated to biodiversity, and 80,000m² of photovoltaic panels to be installed on the roof in 2022.

This new logistics campus comprises 2 buildings. A 36,000m² mechanized site, dedicated to Pimkie logistics, for which Log'S began operations in June 2020. And a second 92,000m² site, which began operations in September 2021, notably serving its customer Walibuy (Alice's Garden), which has decided to renew its confidence in Log'S to support its major expansion. Other projects will be set up on the site in the near future.

" In barely 20 years, Log'S has forged a leading position among logistics service providers, while retaining the values that are dear to me: responsiveness, availability and customer focus. The Wattrelos campus completes our AMBITION 2022 plan and marks the start of our AMBITION 2025 strategic plan. It is a perfect illustration of our determination to build new, state-of-the-art, more responsible sites, which respond perfectly to our customers' needs, as well as to current social and environmental issues.Franck Grimonprez, Founder and Chairman of Log'S Group.

An event dedicated to Innovation :

The campus is also a testament to Log'S' ability to innovate in support of its customers' Supply Chain projects. Over the past 6 years, the company has set up a specific "Innovations" department with a dedicated team and resources. Through the men and women who make up its teams, as well as its partners and customers, Log's relies on collective intelligence for responsible, sustainable innovation.

That's why a dedicated course was set up as part of the inauguration of the Wattrelos logistics campus, to share Log'S' vision of innovation and the partnerships the company undertakes to serve its customers. Through its partners, Log'S was structured around 5 main areas:
