LOG'S development milestones

More than just dates, LOG'S growth over the past 22 years has been driven by the company's development strategy, values and strategic convictions. Here's a look back at 8 key milestones.

Giving birth to your project

In 2004, Franck Grimonprez, grandson of the founder and nephew of the chairman of Transports Grimonprez, launched Logistique Grimonprez in his native Hauts-de-France region, in Anzin.

Building a network of SMEs as a driving force

From 2004 to the present day, the Group has gone from strength to strength, based on an innovative, high-performance social and economic model: a network of SMEs with shared synergies, made up of men and women committed to and involved in the company's development. In 2004, three SMEs formed Logistique Grimonprez. Today, they number over 30.

Bringing historical know-how to life

Textile, industry, automotive... With its roots in Northern France, LOG'S supports sectors that are historically anchored in the French economy. As early as 2007, the logistics provider set up a mechanized site specialized in textiles, opened a dedicated site not far from Lesquin airport, and began a long-term collaboration with the carmaker Renault. 3 years later, it strengthened its positions in industry through the acquisition of a player in wood packaging, and in 2015, created a textile campus in Leers. Finally, in 2020, LOG'S consolidated these two activities and took over the Bridgestone site in Béthune, its partner since 2003.

Multimodal, a marker of sustainable growth

In 2011, Logistique Grimonprez launched its river activities with the inauguration of the private inland port of Anzin. Its multimodal platform offers customized solutions, combining sea, rail and road transport. In 2021, as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability, LOG'S will convert a site in Béthune to collect, sort and remarket tires for Mobivia and Black-Star. These sites, with their strategic geographical location and rail and waterway infrastructures, will be linked to the future Seine Nord Europe Canal.

Turn logistics into the arm of e-commerce

From the outset, LOG'S has been the partner of choice for a well-known mail-order company that has become a key figure in French e-commerce. LOG'S has perpetuated this expertise throughout its development, notably in 2009, when the growth of its e-commerce activities exploded, and in 2014, with the deployment of a reverse logistics service. Today, LOG'S supports numerous retail players in their omnichannel logistics.

Reach out throughout France and beyond

LOG'S grew up in the Hauts-de-France region, anchored in its native land, but was able to see further afield right from the start. In 2006, the company took over installations in the Paris region. Two years later, it moved to Lyon, before opening a sorting center in Bordeaux in 2016. In 2019, it will expand beyond France's borders by acquiring a majority shareholding in Timar Tanger Med in Morocco, before expanding into eastern France with the acquisition of Inter Logistic Europe. In 20 years, LOG'S has created a logistics network throughout France and beyond.

Expanding know-how through external growth

LOG'S is accelerating its growth through strategic acquisitions, notably with the takeover of Viapost Logistique connectée in 2019. This latest operation will enable the Group to strengthen its e-commerce expertise and acquire new expertise in distribution management.

Asserting your identity

At the end of its "Ambition 2022" plan, after 20 years in business, LOG'S is increasingly asserting its identity with each new project, development and commitment. To take the next step, LOG'S joins forces with Deret Logistique and becomes a brand of the DERET Group. Together, they position themselves as the 5e player in contract logistics in France, with over 2 million m2 of warehouses in France and Morocco, and total sales of 500 million euros.
